The Hen Night Count Down

Hey hey – I hope everyone had an awesome wknd! mine was really great. But before i share my wknd pics with you can I just say – only 5 more sleep till my Hen Weekend!! I.CANT.BELIEVE.ITS.SOOOOO.SOON!!! how did this happen!

I dont think next wknd’s pics will be as tame as this wknd.

I started Friday out with some rasps and some wm toast and smooth operator PB.

 1

I did the housework and then went to meet the in-laws and Buddy for lunch.  I brought the Inlaws home and Buddy went back to work.  I took them for a walk around the Marina

And then for coffee and cake on “The Barge”  its a vegetarian and seafood restaurant on a converted the barge, the menu looks awesome, once we’re done saving for the wedding, Buddy is taking me there for sure!

5

Me and Buddy’s Mum – i love Sue so much, we really get on so well, we just chat chat chat from when we get together to when we leave each other! I’m so lucky to have great in-laws!

6

I had sparkling elderflowe water and the Polenta and Almond Blueberry cake! naughty naughty! but real good!

7

Friday night we took the in-laws to my parents for dinner – no photos, but it was deeeelish – i was pretty restrained, i had no dessert and half a glass of rose with dinner.

Breakfast on Saturday was a large fruit plate

8

With some natural yoghurt, gooseberry jam and flaked toasted almonds

9

Then Buddy and I took the inlaws on our favourite hike! we were so impressed, half way round the hike you can either keep going on the 40 minute moderate route or branch out for the 2 hour more strenuous hike, they made the decision we should take the longer route! good for them! it was a perfect day for it!

Then it was home for showers and change and hopped on the ferry across the water to another marina for lunch

Twas windy and chilli on the ferry – me and Buddy’s and my father in law2B were sensible and had hoods! no cold ears for us!

13

Lunch was lovely!

  16

Goats cheese on roasted tomatoes

17

A leafy salad

18

And some steamed veg

19

When we got home i tried out the Rooibos Creme Caramel Tea to warm me up after the chilli ferry ride home – this one smells AWESOME!! just like caramel – but again a lovely delicate flavour, i think so far i’ll be purchasing the creme caramel and chocolate flake teas.

No more pics from the wknd – i didnt drink alcohol though and food stayed pretty good for the whole wknd, i had the cake on Friday afternoon and dessert on Saturday night – Dark Chocolate Torte with fresh berries, i think i earned it from the hike though.

Dinner tonight was a monster plate of roast veg, and steamed greens with a little cheese!

We watched Shutter Island earlier – have you seen it? quite disturbing – i cant stop thinking about it!!

Right then = off for a well earned early night.

Here’s hoping tomorrow is a better day at work than Thursday!
